Turn it into another Panama perhaps. If a canal does get built though I think it will be a boon to not just the Chinese and Nicaraguan economies but to the global economy as well, including ultimately that of the USA itself.

Maybe like Turkey: has a foot in both camps, East and West.

Yes, among many others.

A new 'Great Game' is on in Africa between China and the USA and it will take 3 decades or more to play out, barring some sort of calamity in the USA in the meantime.

Why? If you are referring to his comment about "gays and women" then he is merely telling the truth. At their core Islamic societies do indeed have values which, on certain issues at least, differ fairly significantly to those of the United States and its emulators in western Europe and thus those societies in general tend take a more conservative and traditional approach on certain issues, homosexuality, pederasty and the proper role of women being amongst them. The same goes to a lesser degree to Confucian societies. Incidentally, by no means is Europe united in its support of the LGBT movement. Catholic and Orthodox countries in particular (like Poland) are also known for their social conservatism and resistance to the 'wokeness' and political correctness now so fashionable in the USA with its divisive culture wars. And it's only to be expected too as the world is not centred around the USA and western Europe, no matter how much those countries would like to think it is. What's more, if we are going to see a more multipolar world emerging from all of this it is only to be expected that there will be a lessening of the cultural influences of the West on everybody else.

With Russia's permission I suppose it's possible. Unlikely in my opinion, but possible.

And they're both a species of neo‐fascists, in my opinion. The ideology of the Republicans is that of a people resentful that their pro‐fascist beliefs were marginalised following world war 2 and that they had to spend 35 in the wilderness, plotting and scheming behind the scenes, before they could re-emerge under the leadership of Ronald Reagan, repackaged as faux liberals and pseudo‐conservatives.

@tomdasilva2060 Correction - the class war never ended. What is needed is its resolution.
