As I am given to understand it the proposed bill is based upon a Russian law that was itself based on a law passed in the United States (the Magnitsky Act I do believe).

@honestjohn6418 Basically, they've become like the USA. Understandable really considering they've been infiltrated by the deep state of the USA and its various think tanks and groups since at least the time of Thatcher, along with most of the elite institutions, the armed forces and the City/banks. That's why Britain is suffering from the same political, economic and social malaise as the states, because they have become a collaborationist comprador class beholden to the pernicious ideology of American free market laissez-faire corporatism, just like any third world Latin American colony of the US-controlled IMF.
