  1. Amoral doesn't mean immoral and the Chinese are as moral as any other nationality. Indeed, I would argue that it's practically impossible not to be moral because all societies and the communities within them have moral codes of some sort. Moral codes do differ though.

  2. It does make sense when using a particular form of moral reasoning. I suppose you could look on it the way most people in Europe and the English speaking world look on abortion, the rights of the living taking precedence over the rights of the unborn; human life is valorized with one life being valued more highly than another. Sad but true.

  3. To be fair and to give her the benefit of the doubt, and assuming what you say is true, she may not know this, especially if she has been brought up on the island of Taiwan (the Republic of China) or in the USA or Canada.
