  1. ​​​ @arthurmoore9488  The price cap has been a total failure and the sanctions against Russia are designed primarily to benefit the USA at the expense of Europe. The USA wants to recreate the conditions of the first cold war by isolating Europe from Russia and in particular disrupting relations between Germany and Russia. The USA wants to make the EU as dependent on itself as possible.

  4. Our maybe they just went bankrupt fighting the cold war with the USA. And having 'won' the first round it would seem the USA is now going bankrupt fighting a second cold war with China. The strategy of bankrupting the USSR by outspending then might have worked but the USA now seems to be bankrupting only itself in its attempts to repeat the strategy with the PRC.

  5. Reminds me of the Economist magazine's 'China is on the verge of collapse' articles that it regularly trots out. When the Chinese decide to buy out the Economist I wonder if they'll change their tune.

  10. What, exactly, is the difference between a democracy, a republic, and a dictatorship? Are the two mutually exclusive and would your be happy living under a dictorship as long as you could buy guns?
