  9. ​ @cirrus393 it didn't eradicate wage slavery, nor other, disguised forms of slavery like indentured labour, peonage, penal labour, share cropping or bonded labour. The modern, industrial form of chattel slavery is but one form of slavery, one that, ironically, the English themselves played no small part in creating.
