  1. The Chinese probably don't want the USA to collapse so calamitously. They probably want to be able to keep trading with the USA during a transition to a new type of international trading system whilst avoiding as much as possible a situation where there is civil unrest in the USA that could lead to a Weimar Germany type scenario. Sort of letting the USA down gently and easing it into a new economic and financial world order dominated by the Chinese rather than doing so abruptly. They probably also want to see a central bank digital currency introduced globally via the United Nations as per the plans of the Word Economic Forum, International Bank of Settlements, and various other bodies.

  2. Building up gold and silver reserves to back up their currencies and to prepare for the introduction of a Central Bank Digital Currency system (CBDC), possibly a central ledger similar to the Special Drawing Right system of the International Monetary Fund.
