It's ironic that the man who coined the term 'orientalism' could credibly be described as an orientalist himself as he was thoroughly westernised and operating from within the very heart of the western academic institutions guilty of spreading orientalism in the first place, embodying thereby the paradox of the man who seemingly strives to emulate western societies while deriding the paradigms that sustain them.

Perhaps they should see themselves as liberated women whose purpose is to serve capitalism having had the privilege of being forced to go to school where they learn how to be good workers who put capitalist production before human reproduction.

North Korea a hostile nation? 8000 miles from Uncle Sam's shores, surrounded by Uncle Sam's warships and bases that threaten to wipe it off the map and very nearly did within living memory and that divided the nation in two. Why would North Korea threaten its neighbours anyway? Does South Korea threaten its neighbours? Does Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia? The USA is the one threatening not just its neighbours (Latin America) but the whole world. It's now a we speak even threatening China and Russia, the two biggest nuclear and conventionally armed countries in the world (if India falls outside its orbit it will probably be sanctioned too). Sanctions kill. They kill indiscriminately. They kill the innocent. They kill men, women, children, the elderly, babies. Sanctions are murder. Sanctions are mass murder. Sanctions are an act of war. You sanction North Korea which has never militarily threatened the USA or its lackeys in western Europe (indeed, is incapable of doing so) and threaten them with nuclear annihilation and expect them not to be hostile? And when they defend themselves against a nuclear armed superpower, the only country to have actually used nuclear weapons against civilians, you accuse them of threatening their neighbours. What you've by just said is a perverse inversion of reality.

Fundamentalist Christians, along with white nationalists, are being promoted in the USA by the deep state for the same reason they promoted Islam in places like the Middle East, Indonesia, Pakistan, Hinduism in India and Buddhism in Myanmar. Religion encourages reactionary, right wing, authoritarianism - perfect for rulers with the mindset of fascists.

@OMR6468 the US dollar is a fiat currency backed up by nothing. When hyperinflation through excessive money printing forces other countries to dump it, what then? How strong will your military be then? How content will be your people when a loaf of bread costs a whole day's wage.

It was under centrally planned economies and collectivism that they rose from backward countries to the modern countries they are today, scaring the ×××× out of the elites in the West. Similarly, the Asian tigers led by Japan who had to be broken by the Plaza Accords because their form of state capitalism was outperforming US capitalism.

Nationalism (the fundamental concept upon which the modern western nation state is based ) has always been premised on an in-group/out-group dichotomy where the out-group tends to draw the proverbial short straw regarding negative stereotypical portrayals. That's just how nationalism works and is designed to foster in-group unity at the expense of out-groups.

@laman012 If the United States is hell bent on war because it needs constant war to sustain its military-based economy then there is nothing any country can do to stop it; sooner or later the United States will provoke a war that it will not win.

@SubtleHawk Chinese aggression? You have a weird definition of aggression if you think China exercising its rightful sovereignty over its own territorial waters (strait of Taiwan, coral reefs) and over its own territory (the island of Taiwan) is aggression. Maritime disputes between neighbours is also not that uncommon, especially when exploitable resources like natural gas, oil and fish stocks involved.

That commandment is taken as only applying to Jews in their treatment of other Jews and not to non-Jews such as Christians or Muslims. All the moral commandments of the Torah and Talmud imply this, at least as originally intended. Extending these commandments to people of other faiths is thus purely discretionary and a modern application.

Western media are all locked into the same propaganda matrix centred around Washington D.C. The USA spent the better part of the cold war systemically infiltrating and subverting western media to the point where they all march in lockstep with the the foreign policy goals of the US government on any given issue (take the issue of Israel vis‐à‐vis Palestine as an example).
