And the Bank of International Settlements owns them all.

And now eastern Europe is practically a colony of western Europe, subject to EU, IMF/BIS, United States and NATO control. And much of eastern Europe was a quasi‐colony of its western half anyway from at least the Enlightenment and industrial revolutions onward (from the point of view of the core countries of western Europe – France, Germany, Austria and Britain).

@roselior7021 Before European colonialism/imperialism China and India were the two most developed countries in the world. After colonialism/imperialism they were the two poorest. Can that be a coincidence?

@tama3331 Is his successor better?

They work for the USA so, yes, they do want to go against Germany's best interests where its interests diverge from those of the USA. The USA wants nothing less than another cold war and a halt to globalisation wherever and whenever it involves countries actually choosing for themselves who they do business with and conduct foreign policy independently of the USA.

How can you learn from the past if you don't dwell on it (i.e. use history)?

Jews emigrating to Israel in protest at Russia defending itself from the USA, emigrating to a country that routinely bombs its neighbours and claims its defending itself from the Arabs and Muslims in its midst.

It's the German state broadcaster and thus broadcasts the German government's point of view, which goes without saying is closely aligned with that of the USA. Remember, Germany is still a de facto occupied country with its foreign policy largely decided in Washington.

@r.9650 It's why we British created Pakistan as one of our last acts of colonialism, to cause friction between India and China.

Would you be any different?

@CNN is Fake News So, during the years the USA did have slavery did they not grow from that? And what about the hidden forms of slavery, like share cropping, which continued after the war, as well as prison labour such as chain gangs made up disproportionately of blacks?

@ceasar8679 Because you're bombing and sanctioning them and profiting from their exploitation such that you can afford a better lifestyle and invest in better infrastructure, all the while destroying theirs. It's not hard to understand, it's just how the US and British (predatory rentierism) and to a lesser extent western European economic systems work.

The people who identify as ethnic Russians located in the Donbass region are fighting the people who identify as ethnic Ukrainians so I would call it a civil war, albeit one in which other countries have decided to take sides. It is also a war between Russia and Ukraine.

@delbertmcfinklestein8576 corrupt oligarchs put in power by the West. You forgot to mention that.

When you say boys do you really mean young men of 13 upwards (teenagers)?

The death of one superpower... and its rebirth as another.

I think the biggest threat comes from the United States of America and its heady mix of neoliberal, neo-conservative and Christian fundamentalisms. Together with its burgeoning military‐industrial-security complex and the unaccountable 'deep state,' the wretched country becomes ever more reckless in its dealings with other countries and ever more corrupt. Combine this with the ponzi scheme known as the US dollar, together with profligate military spending and its self-destructive rentierism that is eating it up from the inside, and you have the perfect recipe for disaster. The USA is a powder keg that is either going to implode or explode.

What did you expect him to wear... a grass skirt with a bone through his nose like a Papua New Guinea savage? 😆

Funded by multi-billionaire media moguls scared of China more like.

@yuehaohuang5536 That's exactly what banks in the USA do (housing bubble), why should a Chinese bank be any different?
