  1. Death by anoxia through inhaling nitrogen gas or some other inert gas would be far better from what I gather. The person just loses consciousness like going to sleep and it is, I am given to understand, pretty or totally painless. Also as a means of euthanasia. Apropos, torture is officially legal no matter what the constitution and other laws say and has been since 9/11 when various emergency laws were passed with little scrutiny or judicial oversight that effectively neuter any protections citizens are supposed to have. Even before then torture, or cruel/inhumane treatment that is tantamount to torture, was, and remains, fairly common in prisons and similar institutions and especially when used by the intelligence services where it is pretty much routine (Israel and the United States being the biggest culprits).
