  1. Enzo Dina The United States is the real culprit. They are behind the global rise of religious fundamentalism, not Russia. Whether it be in Saudi Arabia, Iran, India, Pakistan or, indeed, even at home in America, with their proxies in the Middle East they goaded the Soviet Union into invading Afghanistan in an attempt to prop up a progressive, secular government that was being destroyed by foreign-sponsored Jihadist mercenaries.
