  1. Probably a means of killing off the youngest and brightest of Ukrainian society and leaving it depleted of an educated workforce when the Russians finally win. The lack of an educated civilian population after the war will have a serious negative effect on the region's economic recovery, one of the consequences that would benefit the United States.
