Let us remind ourselves that the so-called Pivot to Asia (that saw the hardening of the USA's stance towards the People's Republic of China and was tantamount to a declaration of cold war) was begun under the Obama presidency and not that of Trump. Also, that its the MIC‐Pentagon combo that decides these policies and independently of any sitting president.
