  1. At the moment it would appear hardline neocons are controlling the government of the United States and directing its foreign policy and these neocons seem to think that it's still 1989 and not 2022 and that Boris Yeltsin is still in charge and not Vladimir Putin. They're trapped in the past.

The phrase Indo‐Pacific is being used by US government sources to imply that India should have primary influence in the region and not China. It's calculated to get the Indians to support the geostrategic aims of the United States by suggesting that the Chinese are encroaching on India's backyard.
