  1. Taiwan already belongs to China as a de jure province. The USA implicitly, of not explicitly, recognises this, as does most of the international community, the countries of the United Nations. Therefore, legally, Taiwan is an integral part of the territory of China, albeit one that is currently not under its direct control. As for Japan, I really don't think they are a ready to sacrifice themselves as much as Americans and their supporters would like to believe. Ditto the South Koreans.
