  1. And those countries it exports to... aren't they import-dependent? Would you be so complacent if, say, export-dependent Saudi Arabia were to cut off your oil supplies? There's a reason China exports to other countries: those countries want or need China's exports.

  2. Not western, American. It's the USA that's decoupling Europe (and trying to decouple the world) from Asia and Russia, impoverishing everyone but themselves in the process.
