  5. All theatre. Australia can’t act militarily in an independent manner without the permission and wherewithal of the USA and the USA doesn’t appear to want a hot war just yet. Of course, the Australian military, together with its intelligence apparatus, can invigilate it’s own government and subvert it on behalf of the the USA and its own plutocrats like the Murdoch’s, but, otherwise, it’s China has little to fear.

  6. I also think that North Stream 2 will come online sooner rather than later. Germany has a need for gas and Russia is nearby with ample supplies and can provide it comparatively cheaply, much cheaper than the USA using LNG tankers.
