@medusaspupil I don't think most Americans realise Trump is broke and a liar.
22
The media has people believing that but do you really think so? . Take a look at the history of this guy , he looks after himself tremendously well and is proud of his country . Do you really think he is going to risk a total war with NATO or do you think media is exaggerating what is really going on. We saw the CNN war the US took part in in the 90's which was far from what really happened there and that seems to be happening again. It's in the medias best interest to get people to believe this could lead to world war 3.

Ther was a press conference this morning. The attacker was a 40 yr old Queenslander with mental health issues known to Queensland police who was currently staying in NSW but they are not sure why that was. For the record Couchi is originally an Italian origin surname and is American/Irish and European in nature. As I said was most likely, this was a Mental health related incident and not terror related nor was the guy from a Middle eastern background for all the ones trying to stir up trouble on here. Thankfully better news about the baby girl too, she is stabilising in hospital after being operated on last night. This is why facts matter.

There has just been an update by the police commissioner that they believe him to be a 40 yr old man acting alone known to police and currently don’t believe it is terror related. However they are waiting on a formal identification before totally confirming his identity. They didn’t give any further information other than the site will remain closed tomorrow.

They need to use sleeper agents and take this idiot out straight away. I don't understand why it hasn't happened already. Anyone this unstable should not be running a country.
6
Yeah I mentioned white guy too. My guess is he was high on ice or someone off their medication. I know people like to jump to conclusions due to recent news events about certain demographics and as upsetting as this is , terrorism is extremely rare in Australia. The Lindt Cafe is the only major incident in the last 10 years that was terror related and that was back in 2014. What isn’t rare sadly in Australia is violence in general though which is disturbing.
6
There have been close calls where the police got there in time in Parramatta not so long ago . Lone wolf attacks whether mental health related or not are the most difficult ones to prevent. It was fortunate the police woman was so fearless to act like that before back up arrived or it could have resulted in many more victims.

Most of Sydney is fine is why . It's just a few areas that are flooded that are in low lying positions and even then mostly it is due to poor handling of water management from dams etc that causes the floods to be as bad as they are. You can still easily get around town by car around the CBD and most of the outskirts.
6
Hi guys , I live not far from this . 6 dead unfortunately but thankfully including the stabber. He was taken out by a single snr police officer. 5 people in hospital, some in critical condition including a 9 month old baby who he stabbed multiple times. No information on it being a terrorist attack, no word on if he was on drugs or anything like that at this stage. They still don’t know his identity other than it was a single stabber who appears to be of white European descent and pretty average looking be honest. Not sure if he is an Australian citizen or not. The place is still in lockdown but the police are not looking for any other person of interest. This is not the beautiful Australia that I grew up in

More totally overpriced woke AAA rubbish. When are people going to wake up to this nonsense and stop buying them?
5
Australia is way too small a foot print in all regards to have any significant effect on climate change one way or the other. How about looking at actual polluters such as India and China and blame them instead.
4
aliaschannel8877 Not based on the actual footage shown plus what does that have to do with it if it is a mental health issue which it is looking Ike is the cause.
4
@IIChristisKingII lol conspiracy theories are one thing but that would actually make them poorer as investments is where they have the money tied up around the globe. This is about a power struggle and nothing else. It has been going on for centuries and nobody ever learns any differently and always wants more.
3
I don’t think so he just looks like an every day aussie
3
They have had close calls in Australia in other shopping centres but nothing to this degree since the madman at the Lindt cafe in Sydney.
2
I wouldn't be as it is media overreach and overhype more than anything. This is a conflict of power between Ukraine and Russia which is why in reality NATO has taken a step back.
2
Honestly as sad as all this is I think the most likely cause is someone either on drugs or off their meds. We will find out pretty soon anyway as they have so many on the case looking into it all. It was quite incredible that it was a single police officer acting alone that took him out. All the heavily armed officers in footage shown arrived afterwards to secure the place and make sure the guy acted alone etc. Her quick thinking and actions undoubtedly saved further bloodshed. There is a lot of paranoia around the world right now due to events in Ukraine and Gaza etc but as I stated earlier Terror related events are very rare in Australia. People forget just how far away Australia is sometimes.
2
It is up to NATO how much this escalates which gives Putin the upper hand really. He knows he can keep pushing into Ukraine unhindered other than Ukrainian resistance. If NATO was going to stop him they would have already done so. Useless sanctions are just smoke and mirrors for deliberately doing nothing to dissuade him. What we really need to ask is why don't they care if he takes Ukraine?. NATO is just as much to blame here for the murder of innocent men , women and children as Putin.
2
@IIChristisKingII They are cutting the gas supply though aren't they? . That would be smart thing to do.
2
@maddiesyoutube6023 How much is he really saying though. This is the internet and things get confused and misinterpreted all the time. Unless he suddenly had a brain transplant he has always been a smart and calculating man. I think all of this is just a diversion so he can take over Ukraine while there is infighting elsewhere in NATO on what to do next.
2
In case anyone asks why wasn’t the assailant tasered instead of shot or just shot in the leg to stop them? The short answer is if an officer is in immediate danger or others close by are they are trained to use the firearm and fire at the torso as the primary means of defence plus not all officers here carry tasers anyway. Based on footage shown of officer she didn’t appear to have a taser on her. The reason I brought that up is there will always be certain people who will make out the officer used unnecessary excessive force when he had a knife not a gun.

They are children playing in a dangerous sandpit and someone stole the Tonka truck they wanted to use.

A 40 yr old known to police they are just waiting on formal identity before they can say who it is. Appears to be a mental health case as from what they know of him it’s not terror related. Keep in mind this Australia not Europe or America. The last terror incident was 2014 with the Lindt Cafe siege here in Oz. The only other recent major event were the nutters that holed themselves up in a house in the country in Queensland and killed police who went there to do an unprepared welfare assessment on an occupant. I spose that you could class as terror related I am not saying violence isn’t a huge problem here but it is usually gang related.

So they just use the Ukraine as a guinea pig. That is pretty sick.

At least unlike ABC over here you guys allowed comments. a Tax Payer funded channel such as ABC but they lock people out of commenting on videos of which they are making money off the hard earned tax payer on. Thanks for your more candid approach BBC anyway. To be honest it's nowhere near as bad in most areas as the news in Australia is making out. There are some bad floods but CBD is fine and outskirts of CBD is also mostly fine. A lot of the reports are just sensationalising the truth as usual. It is only past Govt policies and love affair with mining and energy companies that have caused the floods to begin with. It's easy to blame climate change instead of face the real truth that their ineptitude was the real cause anyway.

Calling this a game is a massive stretch. The first game was brilliant but never needed a sequel. In fact the narration of that game even mentions this to a degree which is rather comical now. It’s obvious that pub in the building at Ninja Theory is where most of the 7 years was spent rather than making a proper game. I loved the first game but this new one is more of tech demo than a game. At best it’s a rather poor walking simulator. One YouTuber summed it up really well. If you are a geologist you will love this as there is not much to it other than pretty rocks. Not even worth the time it takes to get through on Gamepass and an absolute disgrace that this sequel took 7 years to make compared to the budget and story of Hellblade 1 which is superior where it counts including the self contained story. This is just made as an art piece to win awards and gameplay was a distant second thought. Even the achievements were phoned in with no thought put into them at all. 25pts for opening photo mode just get real. That is a joke. Xbox is cooked if this is the direction they are going to take with AAA as these belong on Netflix as an interactive experience and not passed off incorrectly as a ‘game’.
1
Sounds like certain Youtube channels have a vivid imagination . University people are not experts lol. This is the issue where everyone just believes everything they see on the internet today. What has Putin really said? Do we even know?
1
The authorities knew the danger posed so why wasn’t he accompanied by a military escort? . It Had to be an inside job as how otherwise would they even know what route or when they were transporting him anyway?. Someone has blood on their hands putting ordinary guards in such a situation that is tantamount to premeditated murder. It is one thing to call guards expendable and another to put them in an impossible situation.
1
War is stupid regardless. They have no brains only perceived power.
1
Vast majority of Sydney is fine. Don't believe everything they say on these Aussie news stations. One thing Aussies love is drama lol
1
@juulclark2651 to a degree yes
1
Tevoyaromperelculo Avosmachirulocagadodehambre This has nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with poor water management and poor Govt policies to manage water and the flow of it.
1
unless they live in about 4 towns affected they will be fine lol. Honestly this whole thing is blown way out of proportion by media. It is 60,000 people displaced out of a population of about 28 million in the country so That is .002 percent of the population.
1
Somebody just give Putin a copy of Elden Ring as he is obviously bored. Maybe he is frustrated as he couldn't get a PlayStation 5 or a Series X as there was no stock.
1
Unfortunately people in power positions don't care about their citizens other than to use them as political tools for oppression.
1
There is in fighting already as not all of parliament want war.
1
He Putin for a name change but it didn't happen ;)
1
@andre9616 You do realise they would just have everything set to retaliate automatically anyway. No matter who starts the third world war it only ends one way with nothing left of any country or anyone.
1
@karrithebestlira3085 the issue is he lives in the real world and not some fantasy land where there is some savior of mankind.
1
@swallowedinthesea11 They already have sleeper agents in Russia. My guess is they have already been activated and will take him out before too long.
1
What do you mean right now? They always were.
1
They actually aren't. They have a sequence of computerised keys and one person can't override it . This was done in case someone actually lost their head for any reason. it is the same anywhere from the USA to North Korea to Russia. The USA can type in the final sequence from a brief case though which is a bit scary. There was an in depth doco about all this not too long ago.
