  1. Avowed is really good. Great combat. Hidden paths and secrets. Tons of book excerpts to find and read and hidden treasure. Don’t listen to the idiots that haven’t even played it. The combat will hand you or ass once you get past level 10 character too. It is brutal lol

  2.  @ThatsJustMid I would go back earlier. The best times were the Amiga days easily with the classic adventure games where you actually had to use your brain to get anywhere. Like The Pawn and Guild of Thieves, Jinxter and Level 9 series such as Red moon. You had to make all your own maps back then. My brother and I spent a weekend mapping out red moon only to discover sometimes the rooms didn’t linkup that should have and had to put it down to magic portals lol

  3. I miss riding my bike with actual friends. Haven’t had a friend in real life for about 9 years now. Just learned everyone leaves so better off on your own. As a kid riding my bike, that freedom it gave you. Nothing was better. Even driving my sports car doesn’t feel as free as you are restricted by modern rules and regulations.

  5. You know you can still just get mmm free versions of gog games lol. All of the ones easy to find online are the drm free version anyway. The issue with just getting the old disc is modern computers don’t play nicely unless you have a time appropriate sound card etc especially for dos. You can mimic an sb16 ok but not an Awe32 which had the great music quality at the time.

  6.  @brianmeen2158 yeah I can’t believe the mess Xbox made of it with so many great mods around and an unreleased great 360 version. So hard to play Gamepass version due to rubbish graphical seams and uneven frame pacing.

  7. This would make sense if you were showing the games you are talking about on period appropriate hardware and not the latest technology. There is zero nostalgia of you are not playing the originals.
