  2. They probably had a heated argument and the daughter lost the fight and lost it. Probably saw a knife on the kitchen counter and went for it and started going ballistic on her mother. It happens when you're backed into a corner verbally and you see no way out of the situation to win and you for that moment lose all sense of control. It probably wasn't until she was done and dropped the kife that she realized what she had just done. But as in her mugshot shows, she's smiling because she got the last say in that fight with her mother by killing her.
