This is the ancient clash between two opposite ideas being fought out on a planetary scale; man is part of and lives symbiotically with nature versus man is separate from and controls nature. Capitalism, without any control of citizens representative democratic control, treats nature as profit for their taking; not as the vital environment that all of humanity requires for it's existence now and forever.
