On the plus side you can ignore all of these things and not miss anything. If it is only going to matter for a few weeks I don't see why it even matters.

I was actually going to say that malls in Germany seem to be doing quite well however they are really different than the USA. Many of the large train stations are also malls. While waiting for your train you can get your grocery shopping done, pick up a book, buy clothes, get some food etc. Also the malls that are in cities are really in the city and not surrounded by parking lots. They are well connected to transit and integrate with all the shops around them. You might not even notice when you walk in and out of mall sometimes.

There is one cruise I am interested in. There is one that goes up the coast of Norway. It doesn't have a pool, casinos, shopping maul, etc. It does apparently have a library on board. They are electric and recharge when they dock. They also don't dump waste in the water. They are supposed to be amazing for seeing the northern lights in the winter. Apparently they are also mail ships and a form of mass transit for the coastal towns.

Do you know what helped my wellness? Moving to Germany and having more vacation time and fewer worked hours per week. Living somewhere that I could just walk to the store or places to eat. Somewhere that is MUCH quieter.

@octochan Honestly I just prefer to wear all black. It is nice and simple. I have black shirts with collars, black shorts, black long pants, etc. and just pick whatever is suitable for the weather. I have never been cool or fashionable in my entire life and I am not about to start now.

Most of this stuff would actively make situation 3 worse.

@woodchuck003 it is a meme stock because it is valued beyond anything it could ever deliver. No amount of robo taxis and evs will make Tesla worth what the stock is valued at.
13
I don't think the boycott failed at all. Their sales continue to fall in Europe while the sales of other evs have been rising. I don't see why I should care about the stock but in terms of a functional company in Europe it is probably already unsustainable. Sales have absolutely cratered in Germany and are still falling. Usage of Twitter has also been falling.
8
They are down more than 50% in Europe while the market for other EVs has almost doubled. It is a rapidly growing market and Tesla is falling.
8
In Germany I see more plant based meet. More stores have more of it in more varieties. It just seems to continue to slowly grow.
6
From the economics papers I have read most of inflation right now is driven by excess profits. Especially energy companies which have some of the highest profits ever and that drives up every other cost.
5
It sure lowers your stress level when you don't know and don't care about any of these trends. You buy stuff when you need it and you pick something that works for you.
5
I am so glad I live in Germany right now where this stuff has basically made no inroads and all and I think a lot of it is just straight up illegal.

@PhotoRam405 If I walked around naked I would get cold and be exposed to the weather. You can wear practical clothing without going into trends.
2
On your channel I keep seeing these trends that are everywhere and have taken over the world that I never seen or heard of before. It is really interesting how different our experiences are in the modern world.

I have been using the same water bottle for the past 7 years now. I like having a water bottle. Mine will NEVER be cool.
2
I gave up on streaming and went back to Blu-ray.

@overlord3481 Look up Havila cruise.

@Waldo1122 they don't own the entire world's charging infrastructure. Across europe most of the charging infrastructure is from lots of smaller places. Cities, gas stations, super markets, etc. Owning the charging infrastructure is also not worth what Tesla is valued at either. It is a commodity good that anyone can compete with and has a low barrier to entry. The price will drop to the marginal price of electricity over time.

I have still never had one. I HATE coffee. It tastes super bitter to me. The stuff at starbucks looks like it has more sugar than something like coke or hot chocolate.
1
I am not sure what I would need a meal kit service for. I can talk to the supermarket in about 5 minutes. It is just not that hard to go out.
1
I have been using the same bags for my groceries for the last 8 years. They seem to work very well. I got 1-2 times per week, walk over to the store, get groceries, and then walk home. I don't think have ever seen a bag fail and it seems to be what pretty much everyone I have seen around here does.

I order movies on Amazon. I have been to all of the local stores. I do get movies from there also but most of the movies I want are getting hard to go. Often Amazon will have only a few copies of the movie. I cancelled all of my streaming services a while ago and I love owning movies that are mine forever. I love having friends over to have dinner and watch movies.
1
@MRTOWELRACK I probably just don't notice it. I mostly just get fairly simple clothes and wear them until they wear out.
1
I have never been to etsy or temu. I buy stuff from amazon or locally depending on the product.
1
@nico-xd3yb The stuff I buy from amazon are standardized type things. So I picked up a meta quest headset, blu rays (tired of streaming), and other standard stuff. They do a good job with those kinds of things.

I have been using air purifies my entire life. I grew up in the pacific northwest and had pretty bad alleries. I had an air purifier because at least in my room I would get a respite from all of the pollen and other stuff. At least then I could sleep without needing so much allergy medication. These things are amazing and I would not live in most places without one.

@davidmhh9977 I have never been cool in my entire life. I am not about to start now.

This is why I like living in Germany. The news says the USA economy is great but it feels horrible for regular people. Meanwhile Germany is technically in a recession but feels so much better.
1
Hmm another trend that I have not even heard of before today. I see so many things on your channel that I just don't see anywhere else.
1
I HATE the rented ones. People just step off of them and will leave them in the middle of the sidewalk. I have even seen someone just step off of one in front of a store and seen a woman fall over it and hurt herself badly enough that an ambulance was called. The ones that people own they put somewhere out of the way and lock it up. I have no problem with those but these rented ones as a nuisance.
1
I think about half the bikes I see people using around where I live in Germany now are ebikes. They are very practical for getting around to the places you need to go and you can also take relaxing rides on them.
1
@gabewikoff7044 if you think that progressives hate Elon you should talk to Germans! Wow he REALLY pissed them off. Something like 94%, in a recent poll, said they would NEVER buy a Tesla. Also, when Musk did that salute the various EU countries just asked the Germans if that was a Nazi salute. They said yes it was and that was the end of the debate.
1
@TheOnlyName even if they somehow replaced every taxi on earth Tesla stock would STILL be overvalued. There is no chance they will replace all taxis in the world.
