  1. From the economics papers I have read most of inflation right now is driven by excess profits. Especially energy companies which have some of the highest profits ever and that drives up every other cost.

  2. This is why I like living in Germany. The news says the USA economy is great but it feels horrible for regular people. Meanwhile Germany is technically in a recession but feels so much better.
