When to big cars collide though they bring even more kinetic energy into the impact than two small cars. The arms race only works if you are getting than all the others and so it just loses in the end.

Now if only the current admin was not interfering in the CDCs ability to deal with this problem right now. The part I worry about is that because of blocking information that we turn something that could have been avoided into a pandemic.

@travisn346 hmm imagine trusting scientists and doctors that studied health with health. Imagine trusting people that have been dealing with diseases successfully for a very long time and have prevented and mitigated many pandemics. Yeah in general I trust the CDC.

Some cities in Europe are already charging them more to park and fining them if they overhang onto the sidewalk or bike paths. So lets hope that continues to push back against these emotional support vehicles.
7
@bwofficial1776 The VAST majority of them never tow anything. They have worse capacity than older Subaru station wagons. They have FAR worse visibility around the vehicle with huge blind spots. Most tanks have better visibility than an SUV does. They are emotional support vehicles that exist because of a mistake in the law.

AI is also being used to help with writing. I am bad at writing and I doubt anything is ever going to change that at this point. However I can take what I have written and give it to an AI and have it improve the writing without changing the message. These kinds of applications are becoming so common this is being built into Word.

I find writing to be physically painful after more than a few minutes. I will be quite happy to never write by hand again for anything meaningful.

@lbgstzockt8493 The market is going to decide on this one and people are just not going to the movies as much and they are watching more content on YouTube or the streaming services which make content for these devices.

98% right is about 1/50 times wrong. If you have a class with 30 students, you would expect one false positive every other assignment. It is not accurate enough to accuse someone of anything.

This kind of stuff is so bad for the society because it undermines faith in the legal system. How long will be it be before one of the states just say they are going to ignore a ruling. They don't recognize the courts authority and they know the court can't enforce the ruling. What would happen if California decided that their guns laws would remain in effect regardless of what the supreme court said? What about states that decide that medicine will remain available regardless of what courts have said.

This really doesn't seem to be accurate. India has the largest vaccination manufacturing capability of any country on earth. However due to reasons related to the current government and lack of investment and problems in their internal supply chains they have not been able to make enough doses. These deals also made it possible to develop the vaccine in record time. I also think there needs to be some level of realism here. Countries that make vaccines need to get their economies fully functioning so they can make vaccine as fast as possible so that more is available faster. That is why the VERY first group vaccinated should always be the vaccine supply chain.

@ar12. All small is better than all medium or all large. The heavier the vehicle the more kinetic energy it takes into the impact and the harder than is to deal with. There is only so much you can improve the materials before they just physically fail. So in the end we would all be better off if we used a minimum vehicle weight.
2
@robin2821 That is normally when you need the government to step in and change the rules or you need to find a way to quit the game. For instance by moving somewhere that does not have these vehicles.

AI detection doesn't work and will never work. There is no real point in going down that path. Requiring everything to be written by hand in class also penalizes students where writing by hand is difficult. You can learn to accept and adapt to the technology or you can get run over. You may not like that option, I may not like that option, it doesn't matter because that is reality.

@thomasgrabkowski8283 I have seen some of them in Germany but not that many yet. I still hope we can get those things banned. They are just not safe to have on the roads.

There are also many empty houses and apartments that are used for investment. There is no real incentive to get someone in the property.

Low speed impacts with trucks/suvs are mostly non-surviveable for pedestrians and bikes. They hit you so high on your body even at 15 mph they do lethal damage. Cars mostly damage your legs and throw you up on the hood. Your legs get broken but you usually live.

Video games must love when they get to make a star trek game because all those doors just slide open in the tv show and movies so they get to make them work the same way in the game.

@Livetoeat171 Students did copy word for word from enclyopedias.

4) Watch content that actually cares to make itself legible on the format that most people experience it. I go to the movies about one or two times per year. There is so much content available I can just choose some other content. Christopher Nolan has made is VERY clear many times he doesn't like the way I watch movies and he is pretty hostile towards that stuff even existing so I just end up not watching his stuff.

@lolmassivebanana It is just entertainment and there is a LOT of it out there at this point. I usually watch it on my 50inch 4K HDR TV with a nice sound system and still some movies just have terrible audio. At that point it is better to just watch something else.

@romangiertych5198 It still seems like streaming content has far fewer problems than some of these movies.

CO2 removal takes MORE energy than we got from putting the CO2 in the air. This is just thermodynamics. This will not work. Any energy you use to run CO2 removal would have gotten more work done than whatever carbon source was burned.

@cariwaldick4898 To make matters worse those detection systems are getting worse very quickly because the models are getting better. Any system that can be used to detect something is AI written can also be used to improve the AI to evade it.
