@kadyrbekalibekov1941 one of the key points of justice is doing the right thing when it is hard. Very clearly this has shown that justice is not available through the court system.

@_somerandomguyontheinternet_ that doesn't matter. It would have at least FORCED the supreme court to rule that Trump is above the law. It would have forced them to be on the record for saying that it doesn't matter what felonies Trump committed that he was above the law.

We have the best government that money can buy.

@Peter-bk4pz some of the rich people in your area are more directly responsible. They bragged about not paying taxes and defunding the fire department and forestry management. They also built homes inside fire adapted lands which also allowed the fire to spread further.

@mauricelee77 he did the crimes, he is guilty, he should get the punishment that goes with that. He should be in prison and the supreme court would then have to deal with it.

@kadyrbekalibekov1941 this is going to increase vigilantes. This has shown more people that justice is impossible through the court system. It undermines the rule of law and that is not a good path.

It is pretty obvious that if you are rich or powerful enough laws just don't apply to you. You can even try to overthrow the country and there will still be no penalty. Maybe we should just write into the law that if you have more than X billions of dollars the other laws just don't apply to you anymore. At least it would be more honest. Realistically, I expect more vigilante justice to be server to the rich and powerful. They have eliminated lawful avenues of justice and so I expect more unlawful ones to be used.

@ericwiederhold9141 pardoning hunter was wrong and most people said that when Biden did it.

@thejohnjohn2460 the majority of Americans did not vote for Trump. A majority of the people that voted did. Not the same thing. Also popularity should not shield you from the law.

@christhompson6010 who has faith in the justice system? I expect more vigilantes.
