@ncormontagne I am actually pretty happy with Belgium. The country has been running ads on reddit and other places for USA academics to leave and go to Belgium instead. Overall the EU looks like it is benefitting from a fairly substantial brain drain from the USA.

I left a while ago. Just trying to help others get out.

@aerohydra3849 yes you are correct about the response is clearly left or right. However the facts of what happened are not left or right. The illegality of what happened is not left or right. I see this horrible stuff happening and I see people just pretending it is normal or that it will never happen to them. I left before any of this happened and I certaintly don't plan to come back.

Why do you think there will be another free election? I seriously doubt this will be won at the ballot box and I don't see enough people standing up to stop it. Just a few people standing up means they will all be cut down.

Twitter should be shut down. He is using his social media company to put his thumb on the scale of the election. That is not a neutral platform.

It is not a left or right issue when you have law enforcement hiding their identities and badges and grabbing people off the street, putting them in unmarked vehicles, and holding them without charge. That is the ACTUAL objective reality of what happened. It is absolutely morally wrong to do so and it is also illegal. It has been found to be illegal by multiple courts. They are still doing it.

Seeing this reminds me of something a physics professor I had said. You may not believe in gravity but gravity believes in you. The virus does not have a political party, it doesn't care who you voted for or if you voted at all. Politicizing the science around this virus and the treatments for it are something that humans have done and have nothing to do with the virus. I just wish there was a way to stop how polarized almost everything is getting. Right now I think that aliens could invade and one political party would choose to side with the aliens and the other against it. It wouldn't matter if the aliens where trying to wipe out all of humanity.
