In Germany what she did was illegal without even considering who she filmed. You are not allowed to take pictures/videos of people in public. The cops would definitely deal with it.

@trusttheprocess5618 It also means you can't have things like those ring cameras on your door because they can film people who don't consent. The EU has very strong privacy laws.

@athraxblackspire8437 At least Germans I have talked to have told me the issue gets more complicated and nuanced. If you took it with a physical camera and didn't share the physical picture that has less issues than a digital camera because apparently those are so shareable so they are held to higher standards. Especially with things like automatically uploading to social media and automatic tagging in pictures.

@TheBagOfHolding And the sign that says the property is filmed has to be visible before someone enters the frame of the video.

@TheBagOfHolding So far as I understand it the answer is no outside of news organizations that are doing it for news purposes and I think they have to blue the faces.
