  4. Mach 4.2? I doubt that. 1 mach max. Mach is speed of sound through media and information travelling through matter is the upper limit. Things can go through faster, but crack is not a thing, so it can't be faster than sound. Speed of sound in glass is about 4-5km/s. So mach 1/3 is closer.

  6. Speed of sound is not constant. Bullets can fly faster than sound. Crack in glass is much lower that the speed of sound, but still a lot faster than a bullet.
