@username8644 It doesn't matter what system you have if you have no traction. WRX vs (any) SUV. You have much better weight distribution and center of mass and WRX is much lighter too. Heavy brick on ice won't turn.

@username8644 My point is that even if you have proper 4x4 with differential locks, you still need proper tyres or you will not go anywhere. Anywhere where you want to go.

@hesleyt Winter tires are scam? I bet that you have never even drove a car.

If a car has proper steering instead of a Fly-by-crap, then accident is less likely to happen.
3
@hesleyt No. I'm very tight.

@alexguy4477 "But there are some ultra all season tires that are 90-95% same grip in the winter," Not a single one, but there are really crappy winter tyres that perform as good as All-season tyres. All-seasons is 3-seasons. Means no snow or ice.
2
On snow and ice, all seasons is about as good as 10 years old winter tyres.

Brakes and tyres don't care if you have AWD, RWD or FWD.

@dawnpoint And cars you have drove has some serious problems. Cars don't (should not) behave like you said.

@dawnpoint Speak about yourself. I know physics, I know how to drive all kind of weather. Where I live we get real winter every year.
1
@dawnpoint Drive system doesn't affect braking in anyway. FWD understeers and RWD oversteers. I doubt that you even know what snow is. I hope that you at least know not to eat the yellow snow.
1
@dawnpoint You find your RWD on a sideways when you engine brake on a slippery road.
