Schmeisser has nothing to do with the MP-40, except that many call it as such for no reason.

You don't know how time work.
3
Luminous material is phosphor. Gas inside the ampul is tritium.
3
Chris Jones Most likely the heavy lead ball drop short and hit the nuts.
3
Like it matters.
3
You noticed that your tank got hit by a rifle round?
3
So much effort to make a pointy stick.
3
It wasn't much as reliability issue than durability.
3
weymuff fisher To see how much ammo there is and also for the weight.
3
Maybe special forces, but any other than that armies have no time to train every soldiers to be an excelent shooters. 90%+ time semi-auto is what they use anyway.
3
Sten is the easiest to make. No need for special tools. Every workshop that has a mill and a lathe can make Sten. Give a soldier a weapon and he break it in a day. Teach soldier to make his own weapons and... that won't work either.
3
After 70000 rounds you have a smooth bore.
3
talon55130 Is that the reason why they like(d) M60, even when they had no idea what the heck are they doing?
3
HustleMuscleGhias Really slick.
3
Karza As fun as trying to get fast shots with that peep sight?
3
With a file and lot of elbow grease.
3
Thick forests, short firing ranges. Also changing the calibre cost lots of moneys.
3
@zyxyx6754 Tin=sheet metal=Pelti. Pelti is max. 3mm thick metal plate. Tin man, tin can... are translated from English. But in the end there is no official translation to Peltiheikki. Tin Henry, Sheet metal Hank or Rusty PoS... What ever people like to call it the most will become "official" translation in the future. :P
3
Very few lefties back then. Kids were forced to be right handed.
3
@Sigismund-von-Luxembourg Allied forces capture the factory and got 100k-200k new rifles. Only 10% of STGs saw action. Russia is not big small arms exporter. Most AKs in Vietnam war were Chinese and my guess is that rifle was "liberated" from dead VC.
3
6:25 How did they F'up basics? Who's idea was that?
3
@Hysteria98 Smuggling is not part of the 2nd.
3
@Mexicanist1935 PPD is based on MP-28 and was developed 5 years before the Winter war.
3
Who had Carl Gustav in 1940? 1st use in service was 1948, 3 years AFTER the war.
3
JEEROFUKU Yes. Finns copy a gun over a decade before PPSh even exist.
3
Not every European country like when people smuggle stolen machine guns even for civilian use.
3
Lrr_Of_Omikron You must be a M5 Stuart driver/commander/gunner.
3
Niko Mikkanen We just shout SARRRRJAAA!
3
RoF sound unusually high. That definitely is a lot more than 450-550rpm. Maybe it is its high range 500-600.
3
First what? First to thumb up yourself?
3
Bogdan Bogdanoff Chernobyl NPP blow up was the start of the end of USSR. It bankrupted USSR, more than the cold war.
3
KP/44 is not really an improved version in anyway and it was never used against USSR either.
3
Finnish Foreign Legion is not the FFL, but nice to see you guys enlisted.
3
Fallout 2 was the first and then there are over 2 dozen never heard games after that, like Counter Strike and Rainbow Six.
3
When you put German complexibility and Russian simplicity in a bag and say the magic word.
3
In Swizerland that must be classified as a single piece of metal. Wood is just for protection. Right?
3
RK will be in service up in 2035. FDF/Government knows the last date, but no one knows what will be the next rifle. :/ "future modernization programs redesigned the RK to use either 5.56 or 7.62 NATO." That would be a quite a trick to do just by modding the rifle. You need new barrel and receiver to do that. So basically whole new weapon.
3
Were people back then freaked out that some one could bring that rifle in an airplane because metal detectors can't detect it? :P
3
If you lose zero when shoot, then which came first the chicken or the egg?
3
If you know how to behave, there are no reasons to get angry.
3
Spörde Spyrdenstein You can save thousand per year by DIY.
3
Do you often see things that ain't there?
3

3
Linksbro That is the price you need to pay to get proper healthcare.
3
So, basically there are no reasons to carry .45.
3

3
I see every single 9 comments out of 12.
3
If you know how to google, you would know that Suome KP and PPSh are totally different firearms.
3
@BelleDelphinesBathWater USSR copied the drum magazine. PSSh is different both internal and external.
3
