The old YouTube layout was much more of a level playing field.

The Russians were already there, they really only mobilized and that "big F'n deal" is something the USA does all the time. The mob that overthrew the government is unelected, unruly and instead of holding a referendum and elections is passing laws and continuing the long line of oligarchs as government.

***** For one thing, there were devoted sections for different genres of content that could be searched in a number of ways. You could video-reply to a video. And I think the most important thing is the rating system. It used to be rated by quality IE 1-5 stars, so a video with a few views could still be searched or be on the main page because of quality. Now the new system promoted fluff and buries bad news that could still be quality.

Because he is a distraction Hank. He is there to distract from things like the NSA, the economy, abandoned pets and moldy sausage.

This is purely a people thing and has existed for....as long as people.

Austerity is the worst thing to do to an economy based on consumerism.

But isn't there sand under the ocean? :O

Wow let's compare the amount of countries both the USA and Russia have "undermined"... And how stupid would it be to hack a foreign county like the USA and its intelligence apparatus and leave a trail not only to the country of origin but to its leader...s former intelligence operative. Maybe they just wanted to be caught? lol

I sense some bias here...

Although this story has many issues, the reason they all got so bothered is because one of the ranchers was arrested again after they already paid a 400K fine and served a partial sentence for clearing land. Everything else became an issue along with it.

Magic bullet for poverty = banking should be a public utility, run by the government, overseen by the people and not the free market.

Chaser If we are discussing Crimea, they were already there. They have bases and a port and contracts to keep them there. What they are calling an invasion is a mobilization of existing forces to protect their installations. And pointing out US hypocrisy is one aspect of that, the real point is if one of the 700 plus US bases worldwide was in the middle of a revolution, they would mobilize to protect their interests. Why is the parliament in Kiev so supported? They are not elected, have not held a referendum, yet they are making laws and making demands. Not to mention they are installing oligarchs as governors, it's the same thing they just had a revolution for FFS.

Chaser "There is a far greater Russian military presence" Really? How many stationed, including ships docked in port and fighters stationed with pilots and crew vs how many new arrivals? By which route did they take? How are they provoking? What is a "Georgian style" conflict? What is this reason? Yes these revolutions are incredibly messy, which is why the lack of an immediate public referendum and vote, before laws are passed and high level positions appointed is incredibly suspicious. Elections and referendum will be held in Crimea, since they have a parliament that remains standing. If they decide to join Ukraine in its new future so be it. Putin has stated they will remain autonomous. It was Russia that gave them autonomy to begin with. If you think the Russians are not protecting their military hardware, including jets, tanks, ships and possibly subs you have fallen for propaganda. This is like a coup in Japan resulting in an anti USA regime. The USA would mobilize Okinawa and definitely would bolster its defenses. The only difference is Crimea actually benefits from and has cultural ties with Russia.

fuzzybunie I agree, still not the point. You can't fix economic woes by making them worse.
