I don't know really. They say wearing an Indian headdress is inappropriate yet I can buy one from a local vendor that is from a local tribe. I was photographing a market scene one day and the same vendor said I was basically appropriating his culture yet I was free to purchase anything he had to offer. So when I asked the guy, since it was not okay to photograph anything in his stall, would this prevent me from displaying it in my home for fear it might be photographed, he told me to get lost....lol Go on a tour of the USA and you will find tons of small shops near reservations happy to sell you their culture.
