Orwell sends his regards. Palestine is a test ground for the future. You want to control a large population? Partition it, institute checks at passing stations, require paperwork and surveil the population.
54
Let the US leave the UN, they are the biggest provocateurs anyway.
26
Because fascists stick together?
23
In before all those Asians, Africans, Latinos, Indians and other are all racists. And dear Nikki, no one attacked you or America, give it a rest honey.
22
How is this biased?
21
The truth isn't bias, go away if you can't handle it.
16
Every other trade deal has sucked so this will be no exception and I thought people said no to PIPA type legislation a bunch of times now...what gives there "representatives"?
16
Holy crap Bill. I guess someone missed the encroaching police state, race baiting, political rhetoric appealing to the blind masses, a completely bought Congress/Senate and the news/media completely sold out...the reason for TRN's existence. The critique isn't even one of Democracy but those working within existing Democracies and their central planning policies. Anyway Chapter 10 can't really be looked at in a bubble as it is a result of the previous chapters but Bush and the Neocons fit the bill as does the scapegoat of terrorism. The rest is happening more or less though not with a single obvious dictator but there is no difference in policy.
14
Why is it even illegal at this point? How are you going to curb demand on the oldest profession?
14
Technically if you own a business for profit you are capitalist, it doesn't really matter what you are preaching.
14
Dayton Ohio guy was not right wing. And judging by the GAO report that many go by, the term right wing is pretty loosely defined and does not even include being conservative as part of the criteria.
13
This is about the most unbiased coverage you will find on the matter.
12
dangerouslytalented Maybe because we are flooded by the OPPOSITE view here in the west we need an opposing view to put it into context. If you want to know what the west thinks, ask Wolf Blitzer. And if you really think the Russians are dominating the narrative you need to get your head checked.
11
More like: "acts in its own interests under false pretenses" lol.
10
There is a huge push to militarize everything.
9
Because you can't have austerity in a Keynesian/consumer based economy which requires spending as stimulus. That plus the fact that you are being robbed blind.
9
leninstreet Canadian. Never said it wasn't a "biggie" but an obvious consequence of events, one that would be played out by any major world power. This is not about taking sides since they are all in it for their own gain. It's about the Ukrainian people that are in the middle of a tug of war. And yeah ignore the precedent of a prior Ukrainian referendum, the Kosovo ruling and just about every other "sovereign" state in existence, ever, including the Vatican, The USA, Israel...As the international court ruled, there is no set precedent on secession or declaration of sovereignty. Anyway Russia was already there and part of the local economy and had a huge military presence, now it is a part of the local economy and has a huge military presence....
9
What an understatement. Anyone involved in the 911 commission or has seen the redacted information is complicit in the crime that is 911 simply for the fact that they hide the people that funded the operation. For you and I, we would be accomplices to the crime but for those in office, they are also guilty of high treason. You don;t even need to declassify the evidence, any court in the land would convict any private citizen based on the evidence at hand.
9
Saudi, USA and Israel actually with other smaller interests.
8
@bubblefroggy1 You have to be quite special to think Gaddafi was a USA puppet.
8
Whiny babies crying because they want "fairness" and are prepared to"fight dirty" and to "be ruthless" in order to acquire this "fairness".
8
Oh come on. He had prior convictions, one for unlawful possession of a firearm. He definitely put the police at risk when he fled as well as every person driving on the street that day. I don't pretend to know what happened after that and maybe the gun was planted but HOLY SHIT you guys, he wouldn't have taken off like that if he wasn't guilty. And maybe the judge seemed to be generalizing but he is probably correct. That situation is the perfect storm for ANYONE getting shot by a hot headed cop, you should not be surprised AT ALL.
8
How about an amendment to ban bribery, I mean lobbying.
7
Quite frankly, we have only the word, of the mostly unknown people that checked the treasury, that it is all but gone. This after the fact we already knew what dire straights the Ukraine economy was that spurred the protests to begin with. And why would people post videos of Nazi protestors to gain support? And would they have big signs saying: "Nazi's here"? Seriously.
7
This guy is missing the mark me thinks. The opposite of tyranny is not the ability to have mock elections of people provided for you as we do in the west. Or the ability to create the same micro system of fake democracy in the form of a union. This guy is selling the basic democratic rhetoric we are used to hearing but misses the influence of foreigners behind the military uprising who are by all accounts, the FARTHEST thing from democracy on this planet. If Assad falls, he will be replaced by the victor. And that means the most experienced and ruthless fighters will be in power. That means more Islamic extremism. Yay Demonocracy!
7
No one should have that power yet we see it is a precedent already on the world stage and supported by powers against this situation in Crimea. And it's not really an annexation but more of guarantee of their autonomy. Russia was the primary force in Crimea before the revolution, both economically and militarily. Nothing has changed on that angle outside the Ukrainian influence from Kiev. Anyone that thought Russia would just give up their port and military bases is crazy or lying. Anyone that thought they would not mobilize their forces during a time of civil unrest is crazy or lying. If China invaded Japan, USA would mobilize its Okinawan forces to secure the immediate area regardless of law. It might be a slap to Kiev but Crimea don't care for the most part. If I remember, Ukraine left Russia via a referendum lol
7
Dean Counts This is not RT and regardless of what percent of the protestors were composed of, the current parliament does contain the party mentioned in this video and their history is what the video is actually about so do you have a point? And passing laws and appointing oligarchs to generally elected positions before public referendum and elections is not at all what these people fought for, it's what caused this crisis to begin with, the new parliament is corrupt to start.
7
She means "address" as in "send them a bill".
7
You need some facts. Although there are more white people shot by police, the numbers are about 32% white and 20% black. Not really a "vast majority" by any stretch. http://killed-by-police.silk.co/
7
If by, "good ole boy culture" you mean "due process" then you have a point. Without that, I could just accuse you of anything without evidence and you could potentially be arrested.
7
Anti-bias training? lol they are the most biased people on the planet.
7
Sorry but putting innocent people in a prison, using them for target practice and preventing their departure is not "defending yourself".
7
Russiagate....no one is anxious about that non issue that literally did nothing and affected no one. Except that one lady that was interviewed and was harassed by the media. And voter ID laws....affect literally the homeless and illegals, everyone else has an ID. Ask any black dude if they walk down the street at night without ID...LOL.
7
To paraphrase: Inflation has rose steadily for decades while wages have remained stagnant. Prices rise, wages reduced and labor is cut to maximize profit. Now you have no consumer base to sell products to. Game, set, match, we all lose.
6
Oh damn premeditated murder caught on tape and video...he'll get a paid vacation for sure.
6
There are many agreements and Crimea is autonomous and mostly Russian. Let's see a democratic vote from Crimea if they want anything to do with the anti-Russian Kiev parliament. Frankly until they show me some evidence of "invasion", I am going to assume they were already there since they have a strong troop presence in Crimea. They also have a right to protect their "interests" just as the US does. And FFS let's talk about how the Okinawan just love US presence on their Island. What do you think the US would say if Russia asked it to just leave all of its military bases it has around the world? lol
6
Fafner888 How sure can you really be about the claims you just made? The Kiev parliament is quite anti Russian, meaning the majority of Crimea even without Russian presence is at risk of losing their autonomous status. Like it or not, the Russians have bases there and legal contracts with the autonomous Crimean government to keep them. If this was the US they would be "protecting their interests".
6
lol Go away until you can prove your allegations.
6
This is exactly what they want, terrorism is the #1 political tool for control.
6
Okay then, not sure if you have a point lol Perhaps you like things that have no utility, here's a stick, next time you want to get online to comment, just use it.
6
0:29 yeah dude you took it too far and no we didn't find out much about that in this. Dear "The Real News" you used to be pretty awesome now you are filled with rhetoric, you have always been left leaning but now have joined Democracy now in a very biased viewpoint. Here you are saying how Trump distorts and contorts into a diatribe "against the rest" and then I see the title how you contort his statements with "the rest" of the republicans. And the obvious elephant here is immigrants vs illegal immigrants which are conflated all the time by not only you, all other media and the "squad" itself.
6
If Assad falls, Syria will become worse than Libya. He is a necessary evil, a necessity brought forth by about 100 years of western meddling. And Syria is a customer and a port to the Russians as well as a buffer...duh?
5
@0:54 Liar!
5
Stolen from the people.
5
The US military can literally move 100000 people anywhere on the globe complete with tons and tons of military hardware and logistical support in less than a week. A week after that, their established base has compounds built, perimeter fence and roads are being paved. In a month the officers club is getting 500 channels of crap from around the world while a comfort controlled environment helps the drinks flow smoothly. All for nothing really. A "just in case"..."to protect America". Meanwhile, in America, bridges are falling down, cities are bankrupt, debt is on such a level as to be imposed immediately on any citizen wanting to exist let alone get an education. Every military base in the world = a free university.
5
What would you do if 10K + people were about to enter your country undeclared? How would you maintain order? It's not all "fascism" lol even if they intended to give them citizenship there would need to be a decided security force present. And btw...Where do 10K people get enough food for over a months journey?
5
So why isn't bribery considered free speech?
4
EPA? Isn't that the Environmental Piracy Advocacy?
4
Hilarious. Secret legislation that is being overall hailed as something positive...IDKWTI
4
The US just cannot allow any unscripted democratic election so must paint this as separatists or a Russian insurgency/incitement since not only does it set a precedence of self rule, it allows for comparisons between regions and we have seen how Moldova turned out after their separation, they are worse off for it. Can't have competing freedoms.
