  4. mismos00  Read your comment, it really makes no sense in this context. It is a subjective, personal quality but in truth, people associate us with our personalities IE individual "self", whether it is illusory or not. And something being subjective does not disqualify its reality. How do you feel? This sense of self has existed as long as man. It is only until we discovered logic, critical thinking and science that we started to really question it objectively.

  5. mismos00  What is "actual reality"? How do you feel? In any event, there is no proof either way and I never stated "it seems like so it must be so", that is your interjection.

  6. mismos00  I never said it has to do with what you feel and yes I am serious about "actual reality" since it must be filtered through that subjective "self". I also never said you had to accept a proposition. All of your analogies fail to approach the matter as "Elvis" would have been internalized form without and the sun/Earth relationship, although ever present is nowhere near the feeling of constant beingness that people feel. Illusory or not, it is not something someone made up and everyone started to believe, it is something most people live with and take for granted all of their lives so the question is not moot.
