Look at this world cup mess...these are Brazilians protesting a soccer event...that's huge. It's like Canadians protesting hockey. Ahhh but they are not protesting soccer, they are protesting foreign companies using their tax dollars and loans to foot the bill for an event that not only will they be unable to attend but will impoverish their local community and increase homelessness. So many problems in the world and oddly enough, they are the same problems in every country. The system is designed, this is not a mistake. There is no reason why campaigns need contributions, they should have public support, not money. The media exists and is granted license under the guise of the "public interest" so that portion should be free to candidates with enough support. The rest is already funded by tax dollars. Every city/town has a meeting place.
