I worry about that. I was given seroquel for insomnia very soon after having serotonin syndrome and it destroyed my life.

Never accept off label use.

@sailstomars the last thing you need when exisiting is difficult is side effects to contend with on top of that. Therapy, exercise, diet should always be priority before you fall too deep. I have had extreme sexual side effects that appear to be permenant, totally destroyed my sense of self and identity. You can never be sure how it will effect you. Only take if you are a danger to yourself or others.

@Serotonergic yeah therapy was not eveb spoken about for me. Straight to drugs. It felt wrong but everyone around me was telling me to trust professionals. Now I trust no one.

I also had serotonin syndrome when recommended valium after a week of SSRI's was making me feel extra agitated. I believed I was dying.

If you had a decent childhood and no family history of mental illness do not be tricked into taking pharma drugs. Only take it if you are a clear candidate.
