@azlefty1 from the looks of it the cammer sped up to make the left turn even though the Lexus had already entered the intersection. I would say the cammer is at fault in this case
76
@sethnelson5621 yeah but the Lexus had already entered the intersection after stopping but the cam driver decided to speed up and not yield.

@dcm1f3 did you see the clip or did you jump the gun? The Lexus had stopped completely before proceeding and even a car had made a left in front of it. You should turn your license in
9
@jason5897 being in a turn lane doesn't give right of way. If a car was already entering the intersection and you turned without a protected turn you would be at fault
9
@rufen78 in that case I don't have to yield to oncoming traffic while making a left turn
4
@dherzog02 you don't know how to drive or how a protected left turn is defined do you? Go to a police station and tell them the same thing you said right now and they will laugh at you.
3
@freedomwillneverdie6600 nice try. Bet you ride like a Karen and get ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign
3
@muigamonkey lol. You are wrong in so many ways. Just because you live near there doesn't mean you understand basic traffic laws or liability. If a vehicle had entered the intersection after stopping and you tried to speed up and turn, you would be held liable for not yielding to oncoming traffic.
3
@dherzog02 wrong and wrong. Your definition of a stop sign is screaming people shouldn't go at all. Stop sign means you stop and proceed with caution, which is what the Lexus did. You probably throw fits all the time when people do this and act like a victim
2
@TheRealSykx actually you can. Ohio allows for people to pass on double yellow so long as it is safe
2
@Driver_0ne ignore the tool. They probably get so many tickets and accidents where they are at fault but blame the other party
2
@fozter8201 let me guess: you ride a bicycle and take up the road. Smh. Cyclists demand treatment when they don't stop at stop signs or traffic lights
2
@fozter8201 lol. Nice try. I have ridden a bike before but I don't go hogging roads or ride the sidewalks like some air breathers do. Cyclists always demand right of way even though they break so many road laws
2
@Noliving so in your opinion people should just sit there all day waiting for traffic to pass through before going.
2
@jerrybrooks870 nope. From what I see, Lexus had time to clear it but cammer sped up and decided to play chicken. You can show this to police and ask what they think too if you want to. Just because there is a stop sign doesn't mean the person has to wait all day for someone to make their turn.
2
@jerrybrooks870 and fyi, you don't seem to know liability that much. If you submitted this to insurance, they probably would place liability on you because you don't have right of way if a car was in the intersection and you were turning left.
2
@dherzog02 disagree on this one. If you had entered the intersection after stopping but the other driver decides to speed up and try making a left turn when you are already past the stop sign, you would be held liable regardless if you had right of way.
1
@fozter8201 lol. Nice deflection. I can't tell you how many times riders have broken the laws here in California. You are stupid beyond belief
1
@ihazdashcam use of full lanes is allowed only at certain times even in Ohio. General rule of thumb is they have to stick to the right side of the road and cars can pass them. It is not illegal to pass a cyclist as long as it safe and reasonable to do so. CCC § 2173.04(A).: Ride as near to the right side of the roadway as “practicable.” The City Code requires a bicyclist to ride as far to the right side as is reasonable under the circumstances. But do not ALWAYS ride as near to the right side of the roadway as possible.
1
@jerrybrooks870 That's not how it works. If a person had already entered the intersection and you want to turn left without a stop sign, you would be held liable by the officer. Your argument of a protected left turn is a straw man at best since they are still required to yield if there is a vehicle that already entered the intersection. A protected left turn is guaranteed if you have right of way and no other vehicles can enter the intersection at the time you are making the turn (i.e. everyone has stop signs or there is a green arrow for left turning.)
1
@dherzog02 no they weren't. Argue as much as you want and try showing it to the police. If a vehicle is already in the intersection then you cannot make a left turn like a tool.
1
@barnabyjones2203 yes and yes. I can show this clip to a CHP buddy of mine and have him give a break down if you want to. I can also ask my insurance about it as well. Just because you can make a left turn doesn't give you protection from liability. The cam driver had made a left turn in front of a vehicle that was in the intersection and mind you a bit earlier than what should be normally done.
1
@muigamonkey your judgment is severely lacking. The Lexus had already entered the intersection before the dash cammer could turn. Put that argument in court and you would be the laughing stock
