@au1317 yes there is. On the I-10 freeway in the San Gabriel area the merging areas are often short and usually people know to merge. You cannot hold traffic up behind you and the person merging has to yield at all times

@IvyEvans one point that I want to say is that you cannot slam the brakes or slow down if there is traffic behind you as you would be causing an accident. That said it boils down to how traffic is going and if there is enough space to spare the person getting in

@IvyEvans lmao. Tell that to the accidents that occur in LA. You've probably never seen how bad traffic can get here and it's bumper to bumper a majority of the time.
