I mean things were objectively better under Donald Trump, but okay.

Yeah student loan debt gets zero sympathy from me. They willingly took out the loans. No magical space wizard forced them to apply. They can pay back every cent. The most I would support is a zero percent interest program.

@thispersonrighthere9024 "but i do wish more people have sympathy for those being crippled by student loans." I've never had any sympathy for them and I never will. They willingly signed for and applied for the loans. No magical space wizard forced them to apply for the loans. They also knew full well what their older millennial peers (if they're Gen Z) went through with student loans, and despite that knowledge they still chose to take the loans out. They can pay it back. I don't care if they were "young and dumb." That means nothing to me.

I fully sympathize with the shit wages of jobs today. But when they say that "Wages can't cover their bills." Do they mean basic neccesities or a financed iPhone, a giga redneck super truck that was financed, a California $4,000 apartment, and student loans that they didn't need but willingly took out despite knowing full well that they're pointless. A lot of these kids (I say kids even though I'm only 25 and they're close to my age) have a lot of shit that's financed which drastically increases their expenses.

Where the fuck do you live where $70,000 a year isn't enough? I make around $30,000 a year less than that and I do just fine. I'd live like a motherfucking king on $70,000 a year. These Californians and New Yorkers really need to keep their mouth shut in discussions when it comes to wages. They hear $70,000 a year and think "poverty wages" because they have to pay $7,000/month in rent.

I don't know if we'll have a 2008 crash, but I'm highly confident house prices are bound to come down significantly sometime in the near future. I don't plan to buy for another 3 to 5 years, so it doesn't matter to me personally. But I do hope prices do come down for everyone else.
