I'm 26, so older Gen Z, and I can tell you right now that "growing up on a phone" does not translate over to actual computer literacy skills. I've worked with people who didn't even have the most basic typing skills nor did they understand how to use Excel at its most basic level. I'm not even talking about that VLOOKUP crap or whatnot. Literally simple stuff such as "Hey, select this column and search for this material."

You hit the nail on the head with HVAC work. You think you can make good money, but they start you off at trash little boy wages because "yew ain't got no experience hyuk." Meanwhile the fatass redneck contractor running crews of Mexicans (to save money on labor of course) just bought his lardass a brand new $100,000 pickup truck and a nice new fishing boat. And then they act like $22/hour is good pay lmfao. I live in Georgia and even here $22/hour is not GOOD pay. It's even worse if you already have obligations such as a family, house, or car. You can't take the massive drop in pay for a new career if your current expenses need you to make a lot more than what they're offering.

I planned on staying at my current job no less than two years (June 12, 2025), but I might end up pushing it to three years. I didn't plan on quitting initially, but this video only helps further reinforce that fact.
