  1. What people don't explain about lifestyle inflation is that it happens on a MUCH smaller scale than you realize. "Oh I can afford the new phone plan and lease that phone. It's no big deal." "I can spend more on food. I make more than enough money." "I can buy that new thing I've been wanting." It's not always major purchases like cars, houses, or vacations. It's very small things that added up make up maybe an extra $500 per month compared to before your pay went up.

  4. I'm 6'6, 240lbs and while a big ass nice truck sounds good, and would give me a lot of space, I also don't need a truck other than maybe a couple times a year and that's a stretch. I also would much rather have a paid for tiny pickup truck like an old Tacoma or Ford ranger or a sedan with good gas mileage. I also only bring home $706 a week after taxes and benefits, so yeah lol.
