I’ve never seen nor heard of so many Chipmunks invading the townsfolk homesteads, but I did watch the Squirrels invade on Rick & Morty in S3E8 of Morty’s Mind Blowers. You can never be too prepared! Sounds like there should’ve been a mighty pile 🪵 of chipmunk evidence lying around the property, unless he was afraid of repercussions? Was it chipmunks he had to dispersedly dump in separate garbages across separate towns? You know the squirrels had very threatening recourse with their intel systems, so this might make sense too for the chipmunks if you were afraid of full scale takeover invasion with word getting out through the animal kingdom.
