  1. I once held a conversation with a typical Brit, a friend, some years ago. I mentioned that immigration was too high. He replied, "if you don't like it, F off back to Scotland" (I'm a Scot living in England). "You're thick, you're bent, you're living off my taxes" (I'm disabled). Then a few months later he said, "in this town they closed down much of the manufacturing plants years ago" (Thatcher's mass unemployment). This was in the 1980s. Liars need to have good memories, they say. Even if the economy was booming l would still oppose mass migration. Economies come and go. Another thing I've noticed is l go around broaching the subject of mass illegal immigration and get a mix of responses. Mostly people would rather not discuss it for fear of being racist, or it just makes them unhappy to be told what is going on. But if l don't mention it, nobody does.

  6.  @davidcoxall3270  Dead right. All l hear even from politicians opposing mass migration on the face of it is mealy-mouthed half measures. Until a clear message is sent to the world such as "try to enter Britain illegally and you will be jailed and immediately deported on release" or similar. In fact l would be far more stringent if l were in control but l can't post legally what I'd do.
