  1. The Daily Mail published an article in the 1980s by the political writer Andrew Alexander. It was titled "This PLAGUE of Pundits Claiming to Speak for You " about the British political class. It's not only that their policies are not in line with the wishes of the electorate but they are diametrically opposed to the will of the people in general. I do not vote for plagues.
