As the Russians are advancing slowly that means that they must be taking significant casualties, which is to be expected as they advancing into fierce opposition. In a war of attrition the side that loses least fighting strength wins, Ukraine is fully mobilised and is being supported by a number of powerful economies. Russia cannot fully mobilise due to political risks and industry is near crippled by sanctions. As Russia can draw upon vast war supplies dating back to the USSR the war will likely continue for some time.

@shiroamakusa8075 Totally true. I have read reports that puts Russia's tanks in storage at 13,000 but around half of those lack turrets and hence are just junk. Of the remainder around 3,000 have been internally stripped and once again are just junk. This still leaves a significant number of antiques that, with work could be made operational. To be a crewman in a 1960s tank on a 2022 battlefield is not a happy prospect.

Let us assume that the Russians did "win" and took all the territory right up to the Polish border. They now would have a border with a hostile neighbour that is backed by the world's most powerful military and strongest economy. What's more they will be bogged down in a possibly decades long insurgency warfare fought with weapons smuggled across a border that the Russians dare not cross. Not to mention that by this time the Russian economy will resemble that of North Korea. As victories go this one would be less than impressive
