  1. Let us assume that Putin's wildest dreams come true and Russian forces occupy all of Ukraine. Then what will Putin have won? Russian forces will then be bogged down in an insurgency war with no end in sight, what's more Ukrainian freedom fighters will have safe havens and sources of supply that Russia dares not attack. The bottom line is that Russia cannot win.
