The russian army was once thought of as being the second strongest in the world, we then learned that it was the second strongest in Ukraine. Now the russian army is looking like the second strongest in russia.

The really good thing about terrified troops running to the rear is that their panic will spread to otherwise steady troops. Plus of course they will leave behind all sorts of useful stuff. Thanks for another informative video.

“This isn’t war, It’s the destruction of the Russian people by their own commanders." Mikhail - a wounded Russian soldier

It will be interesting when the parents of these very young men realise that their sons are now either captives being used in near suicidal attacks.

The weakness of Russia's border protection will not be lost on its neighbours

Machiavelliin in The Prince advises that "men ought either to be well treated or crushed, because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries, of more serious ones they cannot; therefore the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge." This was summarised by Ralph Waldo Emerson as "when you strike at a king, you must kill him". When Prigoizhin failed to follow through with his march on Moscow he ignored (or more likely was unaware of) centuries of advice to potential coup leaders.

I cannot see Russia being accepted into the company of civilised nations for a very long time, a minimum period of around 50 years will be required but possibly longer.

How long will it be before the russian army becomes the second best army in russia.

I suspect that for Russia launching major air attacks is not so much a dumb move but more a move of desperation. They are running out of tanks, artillery, men etc but have a largely intact air force. It's may not be a smart move but it's the only move that they have left.

Corruption is so entrenched in Russia there will have to be an inspector watching every worker and another inspector ensuring that the first inspector is sober, awake and actually inspecting.

Sanctions against Russia must be strengthened and maintained until any imperialist inclinations are burnt out of the Russian psyche.

Putin plays noughts and crosses while the west plays 4 dimensional chess. He is indeed a master strategist.

We have learned that propaganda is one of the few things that Russia is good at and at that they aren't very good at even that.

The west is scaling up production to support Ukraine, even Australia is expanding its production of 155mm shells.

@CyberBeep_kenshi Not just China. but yes China and perhaps even Japan.

At the rate of loss of men and equipment that the russians are experiencing this war is in no way a stalemate.

Biden's visit to Kyiv and Blinken's comments regarding China means that any hope that Russia had of extracting anything beneficial has just died.

@j.4332 Agreed

Russians are serfs, Ukrainians are Cossacks.

In WW2 after Germany occupied France, Britain and the US never bombed Germany for fear of expanding the war ... oh wait a minute

Any peace treaty with Russia must recognise that it is not just a terrorist state but a terrorist state that is totally untrustworthy.
1
@allanfarr Why not, technically Japan is already at war with Russia?

It will be a long time, a very long time before Russia is accepted as being a civilised country. It's near future is to be a technological backwater and resource colony of China.
