  1. Wars end not because one side achieves its war aims but because both sides decide to cease hostilities. Even assuming that Russia succeeds in cutting Ukraine off from the sea Ukraine can continue receiving supplies from the West in other words the war will continue. The war then becomes a battle of logistics and Russia has shown no ability in that regard.

  4. WW2 continued post 1940 because the UK didn’t sue for peace.

  5. The entry to the Black Sea is only closed to war ship of belligerent powers ie Ukraine and Russia but as the US, UK etc aren’t belligerent powers they are free to enter.
