  4.  @stephenanderson1594  It does a little bit, but it sounds milder than German. Probably because it doesn't have unpleasant associations as German has. Though German is easier to understand for a Russian learner just beginning to study the language than English, because German vowels and consonants are closer to Russian than English. I began to understand fluent English speech only after a year of study, whereas I undersood and heard even a few German words I knew from the very beginning.

  7.  @Dealanach  Maybe so. We , Russians, also liked the sound of English, be it Britain or American. Though were to lasy to study it properly. Perhaps because we never thought about going abroad.😂😉😁
