Wukong lost to yellowbrow Fun fact Yellowbrow in the novel defeated 28 constellation generals (inluding kang jin loong) , the 3rd prince and his 4 generals, the turtle and snake generals. Wukong was so helpless that he pleaded and begged anyone for help . It was Maitreya buddha that came to him to help . He wrote " halt" on his hand and told him to show this to Yellowbrow . Finally yellowbrow a it and was hypnotised and bound to follow wukong . Wukong led him to the melon field where maitreya disguised wukong into a melon and wukong went inside yellowbrow and hurt him immensly
