  1. "A lot of service members have been confused, am i going to get med boarded"... He is saying a lot. How many transgenders are serving in the military? Last study I read saw 0.3 percent. S out of all active soldiers (1,429,995) there should be ~430. If there were even that in number in the military I would be shocked.

  2. So transgenders are more likely to apply/be in the army? Politifact isn't clear and just references studies. For instance they also talk about a RAND study saying it could be as low as 2150. http://www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2017/jul/26/mark-pocan/how-many-people-military-are-transgender/ I really doubt the number is even that high because "Until very recently, it was not possible to join the American armed forces if you were openly transgender. But in 2016, then Defence Secretary Ash Carter announced that the military would have to develop a plan to allow transgender individuals to serve openly. The full policy was due to be implemented by 1 July, 2017."
